Finally finished!!!

Way back in August I had posted about a bench that was made by my daughter when she was in seventh grade.  I had painted it white but was undecided as to how I wanted to finish it.  Well, this beautiful New England weather must have inspired me because I finally got it done!
Jen is tickled pink that I'm using her very own hand-crafted work of art.  I, of course, am just as glad because she wanted to throw it away!  Here's a close up of the top:
I used ThistleGirl Graphics, of course.  She is my favorite graphic artist! And I simply added one of Dr. Suess' most famous quotes.  "The more that you read, the more things you will know.  The more that you know, the more places you'll go."
I can't wait to bring it into school tomorrow.  The kids love sitting on anything other than their chairs.  And then there are those students who simply do not have the body strength to sit on the floor comfortably.  I think this will work out just great.  My next project is going to be those milk crates I've been seeing on other blogs.  Here's a sample from Erika over at The Honey Bunch.

Aren't these the best creation ever!?  I'll let you know how I make out...   :/

  1. Oh my gosh Dianne!! These are beautiful--that table looks INCREDIBLE!

  2. I can't wait to see how your crate seats turn out! Use a darker fabric though...mine are starting to show a little playground grunge. Thanks for the shout out too!

  3. Thanks for the tip, Erika! I'll be sure to do that. Have a great week!
